2012 Nissan Versa Sketches Released

The Japanese motor car manufacturing company Nissan has released the sketches of the the forthcoming 2012 Nissan Versa. The Versa is touted as one of the cheapest cars available in US. The prices start at $10,000. However, many critics say that the $10,000 price is only a marketing ploy, and you you will need to substantially higher  trim to get something reasonable.

The release of the sketch heats up the low price car market. It is expected that that there is no substantial change in the car specifications as compared to the previous year model.

The 2012 Nissan Versa is expected to offer the  1.8-liter engine as well as the a 1.6 liter unit. It will also offer the  manual as well as automatic transmissions. Obviously  the lowest price model will be the 1.6 liter engine with manual drive.

There are many other cars competing with the Nissan Versa in the low price segment. The main competitors are Chevrolet Aveo,Hyundai Accent Blue, Toyota Yaris and Honda Fit. The Nissan’s own recent Juke model is another alternative, which at slightly higher price, gives out better crossover like look.

It will be interesting to see how customer respond to these. Your comment ?

At $10K is is definitely worth having – better than preowned car. You have a peace of mid of at least next 5 year to come – even if it has two door and it is manual drive.

Reduction in the prices of the electric cars is going to change the equation.
