
BenQ has launched the S6 MID in Italy for the mobile carrier TIM. BenQ’s S6 Mobile Internet Device (MID)is centered around the 800MHz Atom processor and has a 4.8-inch 800 x 480 touchscreen and has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 7.2Mbps HSDPA. 2GB of SSD-based storage, 512MB of RAM and a microSD card reader. Measuring 159 x 89 x 22mm and weighing just 330g, the S6 is certainly portable. A 3G-enabled ultra mobile device like this really is not bad at all.
The BenQ S6 (MID) will cost around $626, it offers Internet connection as its only function since its standby time is not long enough. Talk function is to be added to second-generation machine, which is estimated to hit the market in the second half-next year.

Sony Ericsson’s new device will make its debut in the US sometime during Q1 2009. The US version will support GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 and UMTS/HSUPA 850/1900/2100 along with Bluetooth A2DP.

Samsung Electronics unveiled its 3G HSDPA smartphone BlackJack III aka Ultra Messaging 2 in Korea market. It will be available in the mid of July through SK Telecom for around 600,000 won.
Running on Windows Mobile 6 Professional, the SCH-M480 can work with Microsoft Office documents, browse the web, play a variety of multimedia files and read email. Supporting wireless LAN(802.11b/g), Bluetooth connectivity, it adopts a 2.6-inch touchscreen display with 320×320 pixel resolution, a BlackBerry style keypad and finger mouse. Other features included a 2M camera for video calling, MP3/MPEG4, WMV files support, and micro SD card slot.

Sony Ericsson will launch its new SO706i 3G mobile phone that features a 1-Seg support in Japan via NTT DoCoMo. The phone will be released on July 4th, 2008. Measuring 105 mm x 49 mm x 13.4 mm and weighing 98grams, this 3G handset also offers a 2.8-inch display, 2MP camera and micro SD card (up to 2GB capacity).

Pantech has recently unveiled its new handset, the Love Canvas or also known as Pantech IM-R300. This touch screen cell phone will be available exclusively from SK Telecom. The handset comes equipped with 2.6 inch WQVGA LCD touchscreen (400 x 240 resolution), an integrated GPS navigation, a DMB TV tuner, a 2MP camera, music player, eWallet functionality, 260MB internal memory and microSD memory card slot.
