HP Deskjet 2050 All-in-One Printer

The well known Hewlett-Packard electronic giants have come up with another printer called HP Deskjet 2050 All-in-one printer. This not only function as a printer but also serve the purpose of a scanner and a photocopier. Its purchase price is also quite reasonable. It is available at stores from 49-89 dollars. The printing speed offered by it are 20 pages per minute in case of black and white content and 16 pages per minute in case of coloured material.

HP Deskjet 2050 All inone Printer meets all the requirements of Energy Star Certification and its power consumption is kept low. This printer uses HP 61 XL black ink cartridges and HP 61 and HP 61 XL tri colour cartridges. The direct print feature is inculcated in this printer. This feature is made possible through USB 2.0 cable connectivity. The copying performance depends upon the kind and nature of the article to be copied. The scanning capacity is, however, 1200 X 1200 dots per inch. The input printer tray can hold maximum of 50 sheets and the output tray can hold 30 pages.

HP Deskjet 2050 All-in-one Printer can print on materials like envelopes, index cards, plain paper, photo paper, inkjet paper and glossy paper. This printer is highly compatible to both Windows and Mac operating systems. The Windows versions that it supports are Windows XP both home and professional editions, both of Windows Vista 32 and 64 bits, Windows XP tablet PC edition and the very new Windows 7. The Mac Operating systems it supports are Mac OS X v 10.5.8 and v 10.6. Wireless options are totally absent in this printer. The printer can neither print on both sides of the same paper.

HP Deskjet 2050 All-in-one Printer does not contain any memory slot . It does not have LCD screen support. The highest working temperature of this printer is 104 degree Fahrenheit and the lowest operating temperature is 41 degrees Fahrenheit. The electricity consumption of this printer is as low as 10 watts during operation and 2.5 watts when in standby mode. The sleep mode is also introduced in this model, the power consumption in this mode is, however, 1.28 watts. The speed of copying matter is upto 20 pages per minute in case of black and white article and that of coloured content is 16 pages per minute. The copying capacity is 10 pages. The input tray while copying can hold 60 pages while the output one cans contain 30 sheets. This All-in-one printer is a good accessory to be had with your PC. You will save a lot of money and space when you decide to buy this product.

    The printer can definitely be used to print on both sides with a little manipulation.

    From the Manual :

    You can print your document on both sides of the paper, instead of just one
    side. Click on the Advanced button on the Paper/Quality or Layout tab. From the
    Pages to Print drop-down menu select Print Odd Pages Only. Click OK to print.
    After the odd numbered pages of the document have been printed, remove the
    document from the output tray. Reload the paper in the input tray with the blank side
    facing up. Return to the Pages to Print drop-down menu and then select Print Even
    Pages Only. Click OK to print.
