Magellan has announced a new iPhone GPS which would offer turn-by-turn navigation. The new Magellan RoadMate 2010 offers news features like lane guidance, spoken navigation cues, a pedestrian mode and also a “find your car” option.
Being a full-featured GPS solution for the iPhone, it uses highway signs and some 3D landmarks as reference points which allows the user to choose their travel destination from Address Book contacts by using the a One Touch feature and QuickSpell with SmartCity search.
The GPS app would cover the US, Canada & Puerto Rico and would provide assistance in 3 different languages English, French and Spanish. It would cost $80 for the North American version.
A car mount kit has also been introduced which is compatible with any GPS application and provides double charge. It will support both the iPhone (3G and 3GS) and the iPod touch.
