O2, Vodafone and Orange have just announced that they’ll be offering iPad price plans from the end of May in various places across the world, including Britain.

Vodafone says: “Vodafone today announced that it will offer dedicated iPad price plans for all models from the end of May in Australia, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK”, and

O2 says: “O2 today announced that it will offer dedicated iPad price plans for all models from the end of May in the UK”.

Orange says: “Orange today announced that it will offer dedicated iPad price plans for all models from the end of May (in France, UK, Spain and Switzerland)”.

Interesting that all three networks say they’ll be offering price plans, not iPads.

For the moment the plans that are available in the US through AT&T and is available in a 250MB plan for $14.99 and an unlimited plan for $29.99.The good part of the AT&T plans is that neither comes with a contract, they are all month-to-month.[via press]

Notice something interesting here, though – all three networks say they’ll be offering price plans. Not iPads, just price plans. That seems to suggest that all they’ll be doing is allowing customers to get their hands on the unusual microSIM format that the device requires, rather than stocking the iPad themselves.
