We are so accustomed to talking about DSLR variants in the market that we at times forget there are other options also available. Olympus constantly keeps rolling out non DSLR variants of digital cameras and we this time ensured that its latest product gets a narrative here. Olympus dubs it the PEN E-PL1 and the manufacturer has targeted customers looking for a smaller alternative that is also easy-to-use. The digital camera gets a compact size but it packs in technology normally found in bigger, HD camera options.

The E-PL1 is blessed with abundant features for instance the interchangeable lenses or the one-touch HD video recording capability. Another feature dubbed the Live Guide simplifies pro-features that cater to adjustments.

The users who want a brighter or a darker image and want more color additions need to simply hit ‘OK’ in the iAuto mode and select the Live Guide from there to make custom adjustments. The PEN E-PL1 offers blur free images, thanks to an image stabilization technology that automatically compensates for the camera movement in low light.
