Panasonic Lumix G2 and G10 Cameras Pricing Goes Public

The Panasonic Lumix G2 and G10 Micro Four Thirds cameras created quite a stir when they first broke cover back last month and now Panasonic has gone ahead and mentioned the price of both these devices. Given the popularity of these upcoming devices, a release date query is also genuine but Panasonic is in the mood to tease with a ‘late May’ answer.

Nonetheless, we are happy to know the pricing details as we can start saving all the money required to fetch one of these Lumix babies. The G2 will demand a whopping $799.95 and it will be available in three color choices- blue, red and black.

As far as the G10 is concerned, the camera will only be available in a blackish casing and it will bear a price tag of $599.95. There isn’t much to choose between the two as both come laden with a 12.1-megapixel sensor, Venus Engine HD II, and LUMIX G VARIO 14-42mm/F3.5-5.6 ASPH/MEGA O.I.S. lens.

The only real difference is that G2 gets an additional movable touchscreen and hence it is more heftily priced. [via: Engadget]
