There is no dearth of good Android smartphones in the market and you should quickly add the name Pantech Sirius to that ever growing list of cool Android smartphones. Pantech has detailed the smartphone prior to its arrival in South Korea with the Carrier SK Telecom. Sirius is almost the size of the Nexus One and it features a 1Ghz Snapdragon processor to begin with.

Even the Android version is an impressive 2.1 (Eclair) while the smartphone also gets a 5MP camera, a 3.7 inch WVGA AMOLED touchscreen display, T-DMB, WiFi and support for DiVX content.

Internal storage count is 500MB and the buyers also get an 8GB microSD card along with the smartphone purchase. The memory can of course be expanded with a better capacity microSD variant.

This phone will go on sale with SK Telecom for around $810 while the US arrival is still unsure. There are speculations though that Pantech is in talks with AT&T and Verizon to offer the phone in US. [Courtesy: Unwiredview]
