Philips rolled out the Brilliance LCD monitor that comes with the PowerSensor, infrared presence sensor, that can detect whether you are sitting in front of it. The 22-inch display will lower its brightness to cut power consumption by 50%, if its sensor finds no one is using the display.

Philips Brilliance 22-inch LCD features 1680×1050 resolution, 1000:1 contrast ratio and a 5ms response time. It offers VGA and DVI inputs. It will probably be released in the UK in July for GBP170.
