It is bad news for the Motorola Cliq cell phone as its sales have shown a sign of decline. The sales have not been able to meet the company’s goals. one of the major reasons for low sales of the Cliq cell phone is the extremely short battery life. The MOTOBLUR interface has also been criticized by the users. The keyboard is also cramped and there is a slight difficulty in using the social networking features. The screen is comparatively smaller thereby making reading difficult.

However the T mobile spokesperson Alexendra denied the claims that the sales were on the decline. She says that this is a device that will make good sales in the holiday season. The users will soon get a firmware update so that all the hardware issues will be addressed. The batteries have also not performed below expectations.

Despite the poor sales, the company expects to cover its earnings forecast for the Cliq for this quarter. The analysts believe that the total sales will reach anywhere between 700,000 to 800,000 units.

I have been using the cliq since its release an have been more than happy with it. My battery last longer than I expected, no different then my blackberry. I would recommend the cliq to other social networkers.
