Samsung is going to release a version of its STORY Station external hard drive that comes with the eSATA interface offering a super fast data transfer speed of up to 3Gbps. Available in 1TB, 1.5TB, and 2TB of storage capacities, the storage device is also backward compatible with USB 2.0 interface with a slower transfer rate of 40Mbps.
The 3.5-inch Story Station Plus drive is encased in aluminum and features Samsung’s low standby power design, which reduces standby power by 96% to 0.1W from the usual 2.5W. Samsung will release the STORY Station Plus worldwide very soon. The 2TB model is priced at $299
