Sanyo has introduced its new PLC_XF1000 projector. This projector uses two lamps and a new QuaDrive optical engine in order to produce very bright images which are brighter than any other normal image. The projector has a brightness of 12,000 lumens and a contrast ratio of 4000:1. This brightness rating is supposed to be the highest among 100V AC projectors. This projector also has an Active Maintenance Filter in order to reduce its maintenance costs and labor. The QuaDrive optical engine uses a yellow color control device along with the other red, green and blue LCDs in order to improve its luminosity, color accuracy and clarity.

This projector is perfect for outdoor displays where in both brightness and color accuracy can be maintained. Its two lamps have the rating of 330W. Other functions include powered lens focus, shifting and zoom functions, a remote control for operating these functions. Its native resolution is 1024×768, and connections include VGA, HDCP-compliant DVI-D, component and S-video. This device will be revealed on December and is priced at $24,995 without the lens.
