USBView Review – What it is and what it does

Mention of USBView is found when you see how to store the ECID of your iPhone. Note that USBView is an application for the Windows and not for the MAC computer.

You can download the USBView free at http://www.ftdichip.com/Support/Utilities/usbview.zip. Unzip the file and run the .exe file. It does not install anything. The EXE file runs just as it is. Here is how it looks like when you run the program.

It shows a tree connection and lists out the USB devices. USB Device is a useful debugging tool for USB enumeration. Besides Windows 2000 and XP, it can run on the latest Windows 7 machines.
